Reverse sweep
01
a shot in cricket where the batsman switches hands and stance to hit the ball to the opposite side of their normal direction
What is a "reverse sweep"?
A reverse sweep in cricket is a type of shot played by the batter where they hit the ball with the opposite side of the bat than usual, often to the offside, while standing in a position that looks like they are playing a sweep shot. It is a difficult shot to execute and requires good timing and skill, as the batter has to turn their body and adjust the angle of the bat to make contact with the ball. The reverse sweep is often used against spin bowlers to take advantage of the ball's spin and play it to the offside.
Example
