During the test, small sensors called electrodes are placed around the eyes to identify and record these eye movements while the patient follows specific visual triggers or undergoes head movements. ENG helps identify issues with the vestibular system, which controls balance, and can be useful in diagnosing conditions like vertigo or dizziness.
