What is a "gorilla"?
Gorillas are large and powerful primates that are native to Africa. They are known for their intelligence, gentle demeanor, and impressive physical strength. Gorillas have a thick, muscular build and can weigh up to 400 pounds. They have coarse, black hair that covers most of their body, and distinctive, pronounced brow ridges. Gorillas are primarily herbivores and subsist on a diet of leaves, fruit, and other vegetation. They live in small family groups and are highly social animals, with a complex communication system that includes a range of vocalizations, facial expressions, and body language. Gorillas are considered endangered due to habitat loss, poaching, and disease, and conservation efforts are underway to protect these magnificent animals.
