Farfalle
01
pasta in form of bowties or butterfly wings
What is "farfalle"?
Farfalle, also known as bow-tie pasta, is characterized by its distinctive butterfly-like shape and smooth texture. The pasta is made by cutting rectangular pieces of pasta dough and pinching them in the center to create the bow tie shape. When cooked, farfalle maintains a firm texture, offering a pleasant bite. To make farfalle, combine flour, eggs, and salt to form a dough, then roll it out and cut it into rectangular pieces. Pinch the center of each rectangle to create the characteristic shape. Boil the farfalle in salted water until al dente, then drain and serve with your choice of sauce or ingredients.
