Who is "Eurydice"?

Eurydice is a figure from Greek mythology, best known as the wife of the hero Orpheus. According to the myth, Eurydice died shortly after their marriage and descended to the underworld. Orpheus, devastated by her loss, journeyed to the underworld to retrieve her. Using his enchanting music, he persuaded Hades and Persephone to allow Eurydice to return with him to the living world, with the condition that he must not look back at her until they both reach the surface.
