What is a "driving range"?
A driving range is a practice area where golfers can hit balls to improve their swing and accuracy. It consists of an open space with a series of designated spots, often marked with mats or turf, from which players can hit golf balls toward distant targets or markers. Driving ranges may also have nets or fences to catch the balls after they are hit. Some driving ranges are equipped with automated ball dispensers, while others may have attendants who set up the balls for players. It is a place for golfers to practice their long shots and develop their technique before playing on a golf course.
