01
a vehicle mounted on runners and pulled by dogs, traditionally used for travel over snow and ice
What is a "dog sled"?
A dog sled is a type of sled pulled by a team of dogs, typically used for traveling across snow or ice. It consists of a flat, narrow platform with runners that glide over the snow, and the dogs are harnessed in front to pull it. Dog sleds were traditionally used by indigenous people in Arctic regions and have also been used in racing events. The sled is guided by a driver, known as a musher, who controls the dogs and steers the sled, making it a popular mode of transportation in snowy, cold climates.
