What is a "key fob"?
A key fob is a small electronic device used to control the locking and unlocking of a vehicle. It is part of a remote keyless system, which allows a person to lock, unlock, or even start their car without physically inserting a key into the door or ignition. Key fobs work by sending signals to the vehicle, enabling the user to perform these functions from a distance. These devices often come with additional features, such as a panic button or remote trunk release.
