Who is an "attacking midfielder"?
An attacking midfielder is a player in soccer who plays in the central area of the field, just behind the forwards, and focuses on creating scoring opportunities. This player is responsible for passing the ball to teammates in goal-scoring positions, as well as taking shots at the goal themselves. Attacking midfielders are skilled at controlling the ball, making quick decisions, and finding space to set up attacks. They are key in linking the defense to the offense and are often involved in building up plays that lead to goals.
