What is a "hyzer shot"?
A hyzer shot is a throwing technique used in disc sports, especially in disc golf, where the disc is thrown with a slight tilt so that it curves to the left, for a right-handed player, or to the right, for a left-handed player. This curve happens due to the disc’s natural spin, and the player intentionally angles the disc at the start of the throw to create this curve. The hyzer shot is often used to navigate around obstacles, such as trees, or to aim for a specific target area, allowing for greater control and accuracy in the throw.
