What is "skimboarding"?
Skimboarding is a water sport where a person rides a small, flat board on shallow water, typically near the shore. The rider throws the board onto the sand or water, then runs and jumps onto it, gliding across the surface as the wave comes in. Unlike surfing, which involves catching larger waves, skimboarding is focused on speed and agility on smaller, breaking waves or flat water.
