a surgical procedure in which hair follicles are transplanted from one part of the body to another to treat hair loss or baldness
What is "hair transplantation"?
Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure where hair follicles are taken from one part of the body, usually the back or sides of the scalp, and transplanted to areas experiencing hair loss or thinning. It is commonly used to treat male pattern baldness but can also help restore hair in women and for other types of hair loss. The transplanted hair grows naturally and can be styled just like the rest of the hair. Recovery typically involves a short period of mild discomfort and some swelling. New hair growth becomes noticeable within a few months after the procedure.
