a medical device used to measure blood pressure with an inflatable cuff, gauge, and stethoscope or digital display
What is a "blood pressure gauge"?
A blood pressure gauge is a medical device used to measure the force of blood as it circulates through the body. It includes a cuff that becomes bigger when filled with air, a digital or numbered display to show the pressure, and a pump to add air to the cuff. By pumping air into the cuff and slowly releasing it, healthcare providers can check systolic pressure, which is the highest blood pressure recorded when the heart pushes out blood, and diastolic pressure, which is the lowest pressure measured just before the heart pushes out blood again. Blood pressure gauges are essential tools in medical settings for diagnosing high blood pressure and monitoring heart health.
