What is a "salt truck"?
A salt truck is a vehicle used to spread salt or a mixture of salt and sand on roads, highways, and sidewalks to prevent ice from forming and to melt existing snow or ice. It is commonly used in cold regions during winter to improve grip and reduce the risk of accidents. The truck has a large container that holds the salt, which is released through a spreading mechanism at the back. Some salt trucks are also equipped with snowplows, allowing them to clear snow while spreading salt at the same time.
