What is "iridology"?

Iridology is the practice of examining the iris of the eye to determine information about a person's overall health and potential for disease. Practitioners, known as iridologists, believe that patterns, colors, and other characteristics of the iris can reveal information about a person's health, including potential areas of weakness or imbalance in the body. However, iridology is not widely accepted by the regular medical community, as scientific evidence supporting its effectiveness is lacking.
