What is a "tattler"?

A tattler is a migratory shorebird with a medium-sized body, long legs, and a long, slender bill that curves slightly downwards. These birds are known for their remarkable agility and camouflage, allowing them to blend seamlessly into their coastal habitats. With their intricate plumage patterns and cryptic coloration, tattlers are well adapted to their rocky shore and tidal flat environments, where they forage for small invertebrates and crustaceans.
