What are "jodhpurs"?

Jodhpurs are a type of pants originally designed for horseback riding that became a popular fashion trend in the 1920s and 1930s. They are tight-fitting from the waist to the knee, where they flare out to allow for freedom of movement and accommodate tall riding boots. Jodhpurs typically have a reinforced seat and inner leg for added durability and grip while riding.
