法老蚂蚁
What is a "pharaoh ant"?
A pharaoh ant, a small and light-colored ant species, is known for its resilient nature and ability to establish large and widespread colonies. Originating from warm and tropical regions, these ants have successfully adapted to indoor environments and can be found infesting buildings, particularly in areas with access to food and water. Pharaoh ants are notorious for their rapid reproduction and ability to relocate their colonies, making them difficult to control. They are opportunistic feeders, consuming a wide range of food, including sweets, proteins, and even dead insects. Due to their small size and ability to navigate through narrow spaces, pharaoh ants can be challenging to eliminate once they have infested a structure. Their presence poses a concern for both hygiene and food safety, making prompt pest management measures necessary to prevent their proliferation.
