This wax model is covered in a heat-resistant material to form a mold. Once the mold hardens, it is heated, causing the wax to melt and drain out, leaving a space in the shape of the original model. Melted metal is then poured into this space to create the final object. This method allows for delicate details and has been used for thousands of years, especially for sculptures and jewelry.
