Orpheus is a hero from Greek mythology renowned for his extraordinary musical talent. He was a son of Apollo and the muse Calliope, and his music was so enchanting that it could charm animals, trees, and even rocks. Orpheus is best known for his journey to the underworld to retrieve his wife, Eurydice, who had died.
