What is a "gharara"?
A gharara is a traditional Indian and Pakistani garment, typically worn by women for formal occasions such as weddings or other festive events. It is a two-piece outfit consisting of a long skirt with a ruffled or pleated look, flaring out from the waist and narrowing down towards the ankles, and a matching blouse or top. The unique feature of a gharara is the divided leg, which creates a bell-bottomed look. The legs are often heavily embroidered or decorated with embellishments, adding to the overall intricate and ornate appearance of the outfit. Ghararas are often made of luxurious fabrics such as silk, satin, or chiffon and are popular in bright, vibrant colors.
