What is "global aphasia"?

Global aphasia is a severe form of aphasia that results from extensive damage to the language areas of the brain, including both Broca's and Wernicke's areas. Individuals with global aphasia experience significant difficulties in all aspects of language, affecting both speech production and comprehension. They may struggle to speak, understand spoken or written language, and find it challenging to express their thoughts or follow conversations.
