What is "right ventricle"?

The right ventricle is a chamber of the human heart located on the right side. It receives deoxygenated blood from the right atrium and contracts to pump the blood into the pulmonary artery, which carries it to the lungs for oxygenation. The right ventricle has thicker muscular walls compared to the atria and is responsible for propelling the blood to the lungs. It plays a vital role in the circulation of blood, ensuring that oxygen-depleted blood is efficiently transported to the lungs for oxygenation before it is returned to the left side of the heart.
