a painting technique in which a brush with minimal paint is dragged across a surface to create textured lines and highlights
What is "drybrush"?
Drybrush is a painting technique where an artist uses a brush with very little paint on it, usually almost dry, to create texture and detail. By applying the brush with light strokes, the artist achieves a rough, textured effect that allows the underlying surface to show through. This technique is often used to add highlights, create thin lines, or give a more textured appearance to a painting. Drybrush is effective for producing subtle details and effects that stand out against the smoother areas of the artwork.
