What is a "quotation mark"?
A quotation mark is a punctuation mark used to indicate the beginning and end of a direct quote or to highlight specific words or phrases. For example, in the sentence "She said, 'Hello,'" the quotation marks show that the words within them are the exact words spoken by someone.
