What is a "hand wrap"?

The wrap helps secure the wrist, knuckles, and fingers, reducing the risk of injury while maintaining flexibility and mobility. Hand wraps are typically made of cotton or a similar material and are wrapped tightly around the hand, offering cushioning and stabilizing the joints. They are often worn underneath gloves to enhance comfort and prevent bruising or sprains during high-impact training or competition.

I prefer using elastic hand wraps because they conform better to the shape of my hands.
