What is "chemotherapy"?
Chemotherapy is a medical treatment that uses powerful drugs to kill fast-growing cells in the body. It is commonly used to treat cancer by targeting and destroying cancer cells that divide quickly. Chemotherapy can be given orally or through injections and IV drips, and it works throughout the body to shrink tumors, prevent cancer from spreading, or slow its growth.
