What is a "turner"?
A turner, also known as a flipping spatula or flipper, is a kitchen utensil primarily used for flipping and turning foods while cooking. It typically consists of a flat, wide blade made of metal, silicone, or nylon, attached to a long handle for easy manipulation. Turners come in various shapes and sizes, with some having straight edges while others have tapered or angled edges. They are used for tasks such as flipping pancakes, burgers, or eggs, turning sautéed vegetables or meats, lifting and transferring delicate foods like fish fillets or omelets, and scraping up bits from the bottom of pans.
