Putting green
01
a small area near the hole where golfers practice their short, precise shots
What is a "putting green"?
A putting green is the area on a golf course where the hole is located and where players finish a hole by putting the ball into the cup. It is made of smooth, closely mowed grass, allowing the ball to roll easily toward the hole. The green is typically surrounded by a rougher area and is the final section players aim for after navigating the rest of the course. The surface of the putting green can vary, but it is designed to provide an even, predictable roll for the ball when putting.
