a typically repeating arrangement of shapes, colors, etc., regularly done as a design on a surface
What is a "pattern"?
A pattern is a repeated arrangement of shapes, colors, or designs that creates a visual rhythm. It can be simple, like a grid of dots, or detailed, like complex floral designs. They can be printed, woven, or embroidered onto various materials, such as fabrics, papers, or wallpapers. They are used to create unique and interesting designs on clothing or household items, like curtains and tablecloths, or to add interest, texture, and dimension to artworks, while also bringing together different elements within a design.
