What is a "parking ticket"?
A parking ticket is a notice given to a driver when their vehicle is parked in a place where it is not allowed. This could happen if the car is parked in a no-parking zone, in front of a fire hydrant, or for too long in a spot with time limits. A parking ticket usually comes with a fine that the driver must pay. In some cases, failing to pay the ticket can lead to additional fines or the car being towed.
