What is a "loofah"?

A loofah refers to a natural or synthetic sponge-like material derived from the fibrous interior of a dried tropical fruit. It is commonly used for exfoliating and cleansing the skin during bathing or showering. The porous texture of the loofah helps to remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and stimulate blood circulation. When wet, the loofah softens and creates a lathering effect with soap or body wash, enhancing the cleansing process.
