What is a "thigh lift"?
A thigh lift is a surgical procedure for reshaping the thighs by removing excess skin and fat to achieve a smoother and more defined appearance. During a thigh lift, the surgeon makes cuts along the inner thigh, hip, or outer thigh to access and remove the extra tissue. This procedure is commonly chosen by individuals who have lost a significant amount of weight and have loose skin as a result, or those wanting to improve the appearance of their thighs because of aging or genetic factors. Recovery from a thigh lift involves some swelling, bruising, and discomfort, and patients gradually return to normal activities after a few weeks. The final results reveal firmer thighs, improving overall leg appearance.
