This makes the Janus a powerful piece, offering more strategic possibilities. The goal of Janus Chess is the same as traditional chess: to checkmate the opponent’s king. The inclusion of the Janus pieces, the extra pawns, and the larger board size create new challenges, adding depth and complexity to the game.
