Backgammon is one of the oldest board games, played between two players on a board divided into 24 triangular spaces called points. Each player has 15 checkers, and the goal is to move them around the board according to the roll of two dice, ultimately getting all checkers into their home board and then removing them from the board. Players take turns rolling the dice and moving their checkers, with the option to "hit" an opponent's checker if it is alone on a point. The game combines elements of luck and strategy, and the first player to remove all their checkers wins.
